Felipe Anderson - 27 minutes of football for Porto
9 games in to the Portuguese season and he can’t even got onto the bench, let alone off it.
The Porto coach, Sergio Conceicao, has put him in the bench 3 times, used him just twice for 18 and 9 minutes.
Significantly he has not included Felipe in the match day squad for over a month. We sent him there to regain form and confidence.
It’s a season long loan, presumably with a view to buying him. Not looking too likely IMHO.

Will we ever see him in a West Ham shirt again?

I hope not. He's a dirty memory.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d be perfectly happy to not see him back, but if he does return he might thrive in the current team (off the bench in all likelihood)... he’s undoubtably a confidence player and playing in a side at the right end of the league might make all the difference... a few ahead of him at the moment though but an Anderson at the top of his game would improve the squad.

I fear that we will.

Didn't he start in the Champions League last week?

Started twice for them so far.

Once in the Champions League.
Once in the cup.

Been a massive waste of time.

At least we're not shelling out every week at the moment.

Does anyone know what Porto are paying? If its all of his wages then I suppose it makes sense. But if its a small fraction then is he better off here as cover if he is not playing for them?

Dont get how this is surprising

I was saying all of last season he is the shittest player at the club

Recall him in Jan and send him anywhere where he will play to try and get a tiny bit of form out of him ready for a summer sale

One of the worst signings we've made

Makes you wonder if it was the chairman that got him in and the manager never wanted him. Now where have we heard that before?

"Does anyone know what Porto are paying?"

C&H reckons all of the salary plus a sizeable loan fee.

However there are other reports out there that suggest we're sharing his salary.

Perhaps we should have loaned him out to West Brom

He's shit, this is why they won't play him.

Worse thing to have done was loan him out as it's clear for all it's not us making him shit meaning he'll go down as another Sullivan flop.

Didn't I read somewhere that Porto were thinking of cutting the loan short and sending him back to us in January

It's a rare thing for me to agree with Johnson but the wiki info below is somewhat scary

2017–18 season
During the 2017–18 season Felipe Anderson's form suffered numerous setbacks. A falling out with manager Simone Inzaghi after a 2–1 defeat to Genoa in February 2018 coupled with a knee injury that kept him out from August to December 2017 restricted Felipe Anderson to just nine Serie A starts for the season. On 20 May 2018, Felipe Anderson scored in his final game for Lazio in a 3–2 defeat to Inter Milan in a game that saw the victors qualify for the Champions League over Lazio.

West Ham United

Felipe Anderson playing for West Ham in 2019
On 15 July 2018, Felipe Anderson signed for West Ham United for a reported transfer fee of £36 million. The fee surpassed the previous record paid by the club, set with the £22 million signing of Issa Diop earlier in the same transfer window.

There are very rare moments of genius but, after signing a long-term lucrative contract with us, I think he’s accepted the fact that he’s the Afro-version of Mezut Ozil. Happy to ‘earn’ a shitload of money by doing fuck all.

Nice work if you can get it and have no pride. Then you look at the work rate of the likes of Bowen and Fornals and are even more grateful of where we are right now.

The terminally useless Anderson and Haller cost £81 million and I doubt we'd get £20mill for the pair now. A massive waste of money by the senile old Chilean cunt who spent a total of £155 million in just 18 months with us.
Letting Moyes go and hiring Pellegrini was the biggest error that Sullivan made.

Lol, Anderson and Haller are not useless.

Idiotic to suggest they are.
